Today is not forever
However desperate today seems.
Desperate times and desperate trials
Lead to desperate schemes.
Desperate schemes and desperate dreams
Lead to desperate ends;
The night and nightmare visions
Are desperation's friends.
Today is not forever,
Though now it seems that way.
Don't sacrifice tomorrow
Because of yesterday.
WHO WEEPS FOR THE CHILDREN
Who weeps for the children?
Who weeps for those,
With no voice
With no choice
With no chance,
Or do they cry alone?
All alone
With no hope,
With no friend.
I have dreams of the future,
A nightmare to see
A world without children.
Children which we
Chose to ignore
During famine or war
Or the surgical scourges we plan.
Forever, it seems,
It's the children who pay
The ultimate price
For man's hatred of man.
