LIFE IS A JOURNEY
Life is a journey
Not measured in time
Or reckoned by miles
Or the mountains we climb.
But gauged as much
By the lives we touch
Or trouble in our passing.
So, laugh often and much
For we reach out and touch
Others hopes,
Others fears,
Others pain.
Through the joy that we give
In the laughter we live
And share,
We help others know
There's hope even though
There are crosses to bear.
To find the best in others,
To win the respect of a few;
To serve our sisters and brothers
Struggling with their lives too;
To leave the world one bit better
Because we lived and were needed;
To know that even one life has breathed easier
Is to have succeeded.
Success, not measured in gold,
Not bartered or sold,
But earned by those who,
Laugh often and much
Who will reach out and touch
Others hopes,
Others fears,
Others pain.
For the joy that we give
